Hi!
I'm Finn (they/them). I'm a multimedia visual artist from Moh'kinstsis (/Calgary), Alberta. Making art has been a core piece of my life for as long as I can remember. I feel most at home when I'm fully immersed in my "little infinities": worlds within worlds of detail and magic.
I have always been a little out of place wherever I go, which I have grown to see as a blessing and a gift. The magic that permeates this world is as vital as oxygen; I give myself to it like a fish to water- it is inevitable, generous. I am carried by the current as much as I am by my own power, in a constant search for truth and wisdom. My artwork captures sensations and emotions, like a bug in amber or a photograph. My goal is for the viewer to experience these emotions when they sit with my art, so they too can access the waking dream of this world. My artwork is also about connection to the land, the subconscious, and our animal nature.
My hope for the world is that one day it will be bursting at the seams with art of all kinds, in every place. My ideal reality is one full of colour, texture, and mystery. One where we honour and protect this land, and the creatures who call it home.
Alcove Murals
During February- May 2025 I facilitated a collaborative community mural at the Alcove Centre for the Arts! This video also has footage of me painting the mural on their front pillar.
